C&C Wine House

When we cruise we always pick a highly rated restaurant to have lunch and on this visit to St. John we picked the C&C Wine Bar. It was a great choice, really good food and the service was perfect, attentive, and fast.

It is a wine bar but the food was really yummy. I had fish and chips, prepared perfectly and tasty. Susan had Fish & Vegetable Coco Curry which she devoured.
We will return.

One of the best restaurants we have entered after touring Caribbean islands - not on cruiseships. Decent prices. Very good food and lots of ZA wines. Seafood pasta very good. Friendly and attenttive staff - which you sorrowly not always find in Caribbean islands. Highly recommended.

Nice place to sit down and eat very good wine selection and the food is very good and service is very good and friendly.

Food was inexpensive and taste great. The wine was absolutely great as well. Timothy was our waiter and gave wonderful suggestions for both appetizers and main course. Will definitely be going back before our vacation is over.

Great food and service. Group of 8 each had something different and everyone was extremely happy with their meals. One of the best curry chicken meals I’ve ever had.

Great salads and home made rum and raisin ice cream. All South African wines. Excellent service.

It's a nice place to have lunch. It's clean and the waitress work on clean. Nice people to deal with, make sure you are satisfied and well taken care of.

We were in town for only 3 days, but we came to C&C twice. The food and wine is amazing. The bruschetta is a must before every meal.

The ambiance and the service were great! However, the food was a disappointment for me. I didn't get the value for my money. I ordered Shrimp Pasta. The taste and appearance were good, however, I got Six small shrimp () and a lot of pasta. I think you meant Pasta Shrimp instead of Shimp Pasta. Because you are one of my favourite restaurants, I think I will be back. Anyway, Thanks for the wine.

We loved every sip of our South African red blend wine and every bite (especially the delicious dipping sauces!) of the appetizers we ordered. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was lovely. Don't miss the coconut shrimp and the spring rolls.outstanding!

Stopped at this place for a quick bite while waiting for our taxi to arrive. The atmosphere was very charming and staff was friendly. I ordered grilled salmon, and I was blown away with how tasty it was. Grilled to perfection and seasoned just right. Might have been some of the best salmon I have ever had. Highly recommended.

The food was great, the atmosphere was great and thanx to the waitress with the long dreads, she was super nice to us. Will definitely come back again.

We dropped in for a bite of lunch and ordered multiple appetizers and a bottle of wine (well, turned into two bottles, but who's counting). The apps were delicious! And the wine was super reasonably priced at $26 USD for a nice chardonnay.

Was a rainy packed night so service was a little spotty but they are so gracious and happy to serve. Must try ground beef spring rolls and fried wings with passion fruit pepper sauce not shown bz I couldn't wait to try n devoured everything lol.
Ohhhh you definitely have to try the shrimp curry.omg food foodgasm in my mouth! Wow

We had a mixed platter as a starter. Presentation is very good. The wings, shrimp and macaroni and cheese balls were tasty. The saltfish balls needed more saltfish, but were still fairly ok. 3/5

We had the special of the day which was BBQ baby back ribs, steamed vegetables and we substituted mashed potatoes with fries. The ribs were amazing! Well seasoned and were falling off the bone! The vegetables were nice and crispy as were the fries. 5/5

Food is usually good but they never on time and for that the rating dropped. Ordered for 1pm. At 1.57 was still waiting to collect lunch. Not impressed. Its not the first time this has happened!

I have never been more uncomfortable in a dining experience in my life. Went out with my mother, sister and uncle this evening, we have been a few times before and although it has never been overwhelmingly great, we wanted to support the business and enjoy a very special night together.

They were busy for a Wednesday night seeing as there were some graduation and birthday parties. We were sat fairly quick, but it took awhile to be acknowledged by the server. She said she would be back shortly, just had to push some food out, to which I was understanding. But after waiting roughly 30 minutes I watched as she attended to the needs of every other table (even clearing one) without taking a second to ask us for drinks, not even offering water. By the time she finally came around my mother was ready to leave, but we decided to stay. We put in our orders for drinks, starters and mains, which was difficult and extremely awkward.

When the starters came out, there was a missing soup, to which we notified the gentleman waiter. Our server then comes to tell us after the fact that my sister had the last bowl of spinach potato and they had pumpkin ginger instead. My uncle ordered the other soup reluctantly. My sister started on hers and offered us all a bite (we love to share.) After a few bites I told her there was something not right with it. It tasted like chemicals, like the cleaner my Aunt uses to wash dishes. And we all agreed it just wasn't good. We let the server know and she said she would take it off the bill.

We finished our starters and my uncle still had not received his replacement soup. We waited and eventually it came around. Once he had finished we anticipated that there wouldn't be any more issues, but again, we waited. And waited. I watched other tables that sat after us receive service, drinks, food, even pay and leave. Our server did not come over to check on us. Didn't offer us any other drinks. No communication. I'm usually very patient and understanding, I never rush a kitchen. But it was so frustrating being treated like an annoyance rather than a guest. We spoke with Tim, who has served us before, about our concerns and he just said he would go check on the food. It did arrive shortly after, but at this point every interaction with our server was tense.

We asked for the check early, anticipating it would take awhile, but the employees seemed eager for us to leave, stacking chairs and breaking down, clearing everything from our table before we were finished. At this point we had been there for two and a half hours. My sister noted to our server that two soups were still on the check and she ARGUED with us about how we "drank it down" and that they would not take it off the bill. I've been in hospitality for 15 years, and there are things as a consumer I can accept and things I most definitely cannot. $16 soup. It came down to a simple bowl of soup.

We spent $320 and would have easily doubled or tripled that if we had been given the chance, but the lack of training and professionalism or even simple decency assures me that I would have a hard time visiting this venue in the future. It's a real shame because the food was decent and Claudine is a kind woman, but I would not be comfortable dining here again.

Amazing would definitely recommend it to anyone the food was a delight and don't talk about the service it just was on point
